TOEFL iBT

Test of English as a Foreign Language ( internet based test), popularly pronounced as TOEFL iBT is the test to measure your English language efficiency to understand, use and communicate in English during your study or work  in English speaking countries. It evaluates how well you combine your listening, reading, speaking, and writing skills to perform your academic or professional tasks.

Anyone who wants to study at a university or college or work in a country where English is the primary language is required to take the TOEFL test in order to prove that your English efficiency level meets their requirements.

As a rule, TOEFL iBT  score is required and useful for the following purposes:

PTE means the Pearson Test of English which is a new, international, computer based academic English language test. It is designed to evaluate whether the non-native speakers aspiring to study abroad can demonstrate their level of academic English proficiency in university level English language instruction programmes. This test comprises the tests of four skills—Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking.

As PTE is a computer-based test which focuses on the evaluation of the real life use of English in academic surroundings, it is trusted and recognized by leading universities, colleges, UK Border Agency and the Australian Department of Immigration. A PTE certificate is accepted for visa applications in the UK and Australia.

The PTE Test is available with flexible test dates, convenient locations in the country, and fast electronic results. This test is conducted in one session of three hours with questions testing two skills together—either listening and reading or reading and speaking.

SAT

(Scholastic Aptitude Test)

SAT® is an entry and scholarship criteria into most of the best and highly ranked schools in the United States. It is a test of Mathematical and Verbal reasoning. High scores in the SAT® will automatically qualify students to gain entry into the best schools to compete for merit based scholarships.

 

SAT® is scored on a scale of 200-800 (for math, reading and writing) amounting to a total score of 2400 and is typically taken by high school juniors and seniors. The test is offered several times a year.

 

The essay, which is graded by two examiners, is scored on a scale of 1-6 (low to high)
